COMPUTERS! Kill, Kill, Kill!!!!!
Fix your Pathetic Printer! This month: Problems with your printer worry no more!
If the anwer to your problem is not here e-mail me and I will try my best to get back to you with an answer! Unfortunately so far I do not have a knowledge much of printers ir some computers. This is only based on experience and what I have found out.
Printers:
So the bugger has cocked up again and you've booted it a few times and read the useless troubleshooting guide. Hopefully this will help.
With any problem, first you have always got to check the cable. It's amazing how many problems don't seem to come from that, but they do! Check all the leads and make sure they are SECURED.
OK. A more complex problem-
It only partially prints or does not print at all.
First check the cartridge has got a decent lot of ink in it, as a few drops WON'T suffice. That's the basic slip-up. Secondly, try putting the printer through a cleaning process. It's normally pretty easy but if it's not obvious consult your printer manual as printers are obviously quite different. Still doesn't work? Next try re-starting your computer and turning the printer off for a while. Also a common mistake is tryin to use the printer in conditions which are either to loud, cold , hot or humid.
Make sure the printer has the correct size paper. To check this go to your Word processor
and check your settings go to the file menu and go to Page Setup and take it from there.
If the printer times out go to your My Computer icon and then go to the printers folder (you can do this via the Control Panel) Click ONCE on your default printer, go to File and click on Properties and change your timeout settings.
AND Finally......
Always check your printer is oN-LINE
Don't chuck it out......YET!
What about the rest of it? Yes, I know, this page is no where near big enough to cover a tiny bit of your computer problems.
For virtually every problem you can consult your manual or write to me and I'll do my best. Of course though I have to include some problems..
If you haven't got enough memory try compressing your Hard Drive, Defragment it and scan it for errors personally I have never compressed my hard drive as my friend says it can lead to errors but I dunno. Anyway also you can go to MS-DOS and type in MEM it brings up a page of where you are using all your memory! Also you can also type MEMMAKER at the MS-DOS prompt and follow the instructions.
Email me if you have any other problems but I might not be able to solve some of them as my knowledge is based MAINLY on experience.
